Dear Neighbours,
We’ve recently noticed an increase in bins being placed outside the night before collection.
Unfortunately, this tends to attract unwanted attention, particularly from people entering the area under the pretense of bin-picking. This has, in the past, been linked to a rise in crime on Thursday nights and early Friday mornings.
To help maintain the safety of our neighbourhood, we’re kindly asking everyone to please only put their bins out early on Friday mornings, rather than the night before. Not only does this reduce the risk of criminal activity, but it also aligns with council regulations.
We understand that some residents may not yet be aware of this issue – especially those who aren’t yet members of CPNW – so we’ve attached a short, polite note that can be printed and placed on any bins left out overnight. It’s a neighbourly way to raise awareness and build a safer, more connected community.
