Firewise Training Exercise – this Friday 17h00-19h00

Dear Neighbours

As you are aware, our CPNW Firewise Committee was set up last year and we are pleased to say that progress is being made. In December, 3 training days were held with Enviro Wildfire Services, allowing around 60 valley residents to receive basic veld fire training.

A follow-on practice training exercise will now be held this Friday in the Chapmans Peak area between 17h00 and 19h00. With this in mind, please do not panic if you see a large number of people in firefighting garb running around with hoses. It is just a drill. Similarly, those involved will be using channel 14 on the neighbourhood watch radio network, and we ask you not to interfere.
