We had a small fire above Beach road, between the houses and Chapman's Peak drive this morning. It was spotted by a resident and put out by another. Seems it was caused by still smouldering roots and the change of wind direction. There have also been reports of a few flareups around De Goede Hoop estate and the old Kaolin mine last night. We are asking residents to remain vigilant and to look up at the mountain if you are in the area. This morning's incident was opposite the Milk Wood Forest above the properties on the northern side of Beach Road and below the drive.

One member of our staff this morning was driving on beach road towards Monkey Valley, suddenly she noticed that three African guys were standing along the road blocking the way, she tried to flick the lights so that they can move away, when they saw that they starting acting like there were fighting she stopped the car and put on bright lights but they did not stop, as she was still waiting another car came behind and she had a chart to the lady on the other vehicle to alert her what was happening then that’s when she managed to pass through while there were still acting fighting on the side of the road, she described them as two tall slim guys and one short one, the two tall ones where the ones acting fighting while the short one was shouting for help, this incident happened on beach next to Golf Ocean bed & breakfast at about 06h45 04/09/2015 after when she arrived at work she notified our security then contacted ADT.
